Dr. Jihan Al-Saadawi, Executive Director of the Mervat Soltan Charitable Foundation, explained that organizing the Egypt Initiative convoys in Oyouna in the villages of Al-Kalah and Al-Wabour in Aswan and Fayoum comes as a continuation of the efforts to activate the cooperation protocol with the Sonaa Al-Khair Foundation for Development, which the two institutions signed within the framework of the Mervat Soltan Foundation’s endeavor to achieve the strategic goals of Egypt’s Vision 2030 through... Saadawi pointed out that the Mervat Soltan Foundation aims to implement the Egypt in Our Eyes initiative in the most needy villages throughout the Republic in order to combat the causes of blindness and poor vision by organizing convoys that reach the targeted families in their villages with early detection services, providing treatment, making medical glasses, performing surgical operations, and spreading health awareness, all with the aim of Combating eye diseases and making a positive change in the map of the spread of eye diseases in the targeted villages
Hani Abdel Fattah, Executive Director of Sonaa Al-Khair, confirmed that the convoys of the Mervat Soltan Foundation and Sonaa Al-Khair succeeded, inside the village of Al-Kalh, the Edfua Center in Aswan and the village of Al-Wabour, the Atsa Center in Fayoum, in conducting eye examinations for the people, diagnosing the need for the people’s surgeries, and examining medical glasses in preparation for distributing the glasses. The operations were performed soon, as was done. Inside the convoy, treatment is distributed.
