The Mervat Soltan Foundation seeks to end the project to combat blindness and visual impairment in Fayoum Governorate

 Mervat Soltan Charitable Foundation, PetroSila Company, and IBR Energy Group have completed the implementation of the project to combat blindness and visual impairment in Fayoum Governorate, in implementation of the vision of the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources and the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation, in continuation of the state’s role in activating social responsibility and the comprehensive vision to reduce the causes of unemployment through the signing of checks. Ophthalmology, providing treatment, medical glasses, and performing surgical operations for those in need, under the supervision of Engineer Mr. Medhat Shaaban, Assistant CEO of the Misr General Petroleum Company.

Petro Sila Petroleum Company was headed by Mr. Engineer Rashad Abdel Hadi, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Managing Director, the General Manager and Managing Director, Engineer Khaled Jazar, the General Manager of Operations, Engineer Khaled Hamdan, the General Manager of Fields, Engineer Mustafa Abbas, Engineer Mahmoud Dabous, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the I Group. BR, the company’s president, Engineer Sam Dabbous, and the vice chairman of the board of directors, Mr. Abu Bakr Ibrahim.

This came as an implementation of the second phase in the village of Sila, Sarsna, and Kahk Qebli, in cooperation with the Mervat Sultan Foundation for Charitable Works to treat visual impairment and reduce the causes of blindness.

Dr. Jihan Al-Saadawi, CEO of the Mervat Soltan Foundation for Charitable Works, said that our organization’s launch of the “Egypt in Our Eyes” initiative for free treatment to combat blindness and eliminate the causes of visual impairment in the villages of Egypt’s governorates aims to create a breakthrough in the field of eye care in Egypt through screening, treating, and eliminating the causes. Blindness by implementing all required medical interventions and providing them to beneficiaries who are unable, completely free of charge, and accessing these services to their places of living.

The project created a bridge of trust between the company and the people of the villages surrounding the company’s fields and the Mervat Soltan Foundation, which was presented in the presence of Mr. Mohamed Hosni Habib, Assistant General Manager and Director of the Company’s Social Responsibility Department, Mr. Ahmed Ahmed, Director of the Social Responsibility Department, and Mr. Fawzi (Director of Corporate Social Responsibility), Mrs. Nevin Zahran (Director of Social Responsibility), and Dr. Khaled Baybars, Director of Human Resources and Community Development, IBR Energy Group.
